I have been dancing for over 20 years, starting out break-dancing aged around 14 back in the early 80s, I then went to dance classes and attended dance schools in Leicester, then auditioned and got into the renowned Northern School Of Contemporary Dance in Leeds in 1989 and was taught by such teachers as Namron (London Contemporary) and Gurmit (London Contemporary) and many other guest teachers.
I later started working as a freelance dance artist and work with arts organisations in the UK and abroad teaching and delivering dance projects; this has since grown and expanded due to popular demand! My dance style is a mixture and combination of different styles based around funky street vibes and Hip Hop combined with my own choreography, my classes are aimed at all levels and ability’s, being inclusive and provide inspiration and confidence to enable you to develop further.
Recent Projects;Cluster Dance project, over the past two years I have been working in primary schools across North Yorkshire in collaboration with Barlby Sports Development, to encourage and develop dance in schools from an early age with both boys and girls. All the schools then come together to share their work and perform their dance routines.
Youth Dance projects, working in youth centres and schools across North Yorkshire running workshops and dance projects.
After School clubs, running after school dance sessions for all levels of experience.
Dance Education Post, developing and delivering dance lessons and tutorials, set studies.
